Amusing coincidences that happened to me so far this year
- Watching a documentary from the 80’s where there was one random historian that I’ve never seen in my life doing a talking head. The doc ends, I turn off the dvd, there’s a round table on tv with that same historian.
- I stumbled upon a book for sale in a thrift store that I was currently reading in ebook format.
- I’ve read a completly random issue of Silver Surfer from the early 90’s and two days later someone posted a scanned panel from it on tumblr.
- Also on tumblr, listening to Underpass by John Foxx and run into an audio post of it.
- Another tumblr one: shortly after meeting Carly and her Dieter avatar, while I was walking down the street a car pass next to me playing ATLANTIS, IS CALLING, S.O.S. FOR LOVE!
- A Stella special listed on Comedy Central programming to air at the first hour of my birthday - they’ve fucked up and aired a Tig Notaro one instead, which I also like
- At least three times this year I’ve thought about a person I haven’t seen in a while and they appears.
These were the ones I’ve remembered, but there were a lot. My brain tends to start doing connections at an insane rate and seeing synchronicity everywhere in any small event.
